Results from HMR at Home® Phone Support Program

Comparison of a phone vs. clinic approach to achieve 10% weight loss. Int J Obes Advance online publication, 27 February 2007
Ninety-six men and women were randomly assigned to an HMR® clinic, HMR phone program, or a control group. Both the clinic and phone groups lost significantly more weight at 12 weeks than the control group (28.0, 23.4, and 0.77 pounds respectively). At 6 months, the phone and clinic groups both lost about 28 lbs. demonstrating that a weight loss intervention delivered entirely over the phone is a viable alternative method to a traditional clinic intervention.
