Hearty hot cereal mixed with protein-rich Greek yogurt, topped with fresh fruit and heart healthy chia and flax seeds keeps you feeling full and satisfied—with a simple, lower-calorie, nutritious breakfast. This recipe supports Phase 2 and makes 1 serving at 310 calories.
1 HMR Multigrain Hot Cereal (or hot cereal of your choice)
¾ cup water
1 Tbs nonfat Greek yogurt (we love Fage brand)
½ cup fresh apricots, sliced
½ cup fresh strawberries, sliced
1 tsp chia seeds
1 tsp flax seeds
Empty contents of HMR Cereal packet into a microwave-safe bowl. Add ¾ cup water and stir. Microwave for 90 seconds, then let sit for 1-2 minutes. (If using an alternative hot cereal, make the cereal according to package instructions.)
Add yogurt to cereal and stir to combine.
Top with sliced fruit and seeds.
